STUDENT VISAS
A student visa is required for a non-Canadian person who wishes to go to school in Canada for a period of 6 months or longer. The basic requirements for a student visa are: a letter of acceptance from the Canadian school the student wishes to attend; proof the student will have enough money to support his or her self; and return airplane ticket or proof of enough funds to buy an airplane ticket. It also generally helps to be able to show the student has strong ties to the country of origin (such as family living there and/or a job to return to) to ensure the student will return to the country of origin.
